Brown Rice And Yeast Infections – 3 Questions That You Asked!

Brown Rice And Yeast Infections - 3 Questions That You Asked!

OK, so let's get to it. There are a lot of questions surrounding the connection between brown and yeast infections. And as promised, I will answer those questions here. So let's get to it!

Question #1 - Is eating brown rice better for you than white rice? The answer to that question is a loud, resounding YES! Brown rice has so many more nutrients in it than white rice. White rice is essentially brown rice stripped of all of it's nutrients! Before the refining process that makes it white rice, it contained nutrients like: Manganese, Iron, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B6, Selenium and other disease fighting nutrients.

Question # 2 - Can brown rice help you in the fight against yeast infections? So let's get to the meat of why you're here in the first place! The answer to that question is YES! Why? Because of brown rice's lower glycemic index, it's a better choice when it comes to maintaining any diet. Particularly a "Yeast infection" type diet. Why? What is the glycemic index?

Glycemic index is a measure of how fast a particular food raises sugar levels in the blood. And since when on a yeast-free diet you want to stay away from sugar as much as possible. The darker rice is your best bet.

Question # 3 - What other ways can this rice help me in the fight against yeast infections? Well my friend, in addition to having a lower glycemic index that will help your body to keep its sugar level down. It will also help you by keeping you fuller for longer periods of time. That in turn helps you to control your blood sugar longer. Which helps you to control the growth of yeast in your body.

I'm sure that you have read by now that yeast feeds on sugar. So in order to keep that feeding to a minimum, all of the "yeast infection" diets out there advise you to cut your sugar intake.

So if brown rice has all of the vitamins and nutrients that you need, what good is white rice? White rice has one benefit over brown rice. It lasts longer in storage. That's it. Brown rice is full of essential oils that will go bad after about 6 months. After it is stripped and processed to make white rice, it no longer has these oils and is able to last longer in storage.

This one benefit is good for those countries where rice is their main source of food. In addition to that if you have a weak digestive tract and cannot take a high fiber diet then white rice is better for you.
